Losing weight is a goal many people share. Whilst it can be attainable it’s not without hard work and dedication. We’re here to help you cut the crap (literally) and reach the body you’ve always dreamed of. Check out our tips below and you’ll get a jumpstart on your journey to weight loss.
Increase your supplement intake
Your body is a temple so treating it that way will make you feel good from the inside out. Add some supplements into your daily routine to boost your immune system and load up on nutrients.
Check out Luma Nutrition for a great variety of supplements that will make you feel great. Stock up on key vitamins such as A, C, and E, as well as lesser know antioxidant supporters Quercetin and Glutathione.
Move your body
Whether you hit the gym or work out at home, getting your butt moving will tone your muscles and boost your fitness levels.
Try and get thirty minutes of solid exercise per day by using high-intensity interval training (HIIT) which is based on high energy exertion in short bursts, with shorter more restful periods of lower intensity movements. This technique means that your body ends up burning more calories, even after you’ve finished working out.
Nourish your body
What you put into your body is super important. Weight loss is down to 80% food choices and 20% exercise. While getting your body into gear is great for ditching the pounds, what you eat is going to give you the results you are after. Load up on nutrient-rich leafy greens like spinach and kale. Swap red meat like beef mince for lighter turkey alternatives and cut down on your processed foods.
Ensure you’re still eating healthy fats as low-fat options are full of sugar – something which will ruin your diet plans. Also cut down on salt as much as possible, this will help reduce bloating and decrease the water weight your body is holding on to.
Ditch your car
One of the easiest ways to shed pounds is by walking instead of driving or taking a cab. The recommended amount of steps to take a day is 10,000. Whilst this may seem like a lot, it’s actually pretty achievable if you make the effort.
You don’t need to engage in hour-long hikes every day to reach that goal. Walk to work or park your car 15 minutes from your building to increase your steps. On your lunch break why not take a 30-minute stroll around the block a few times? You’ll be hitting those 10,000 in no time!
Cut down on alcohol
Alcohol is full of sugar which leads to weight gain. Your weekly nights out may be the thing that is holding you back from you the body you’ve always wanted. You don’t have to skip time with your friends altogether, just stay away from highly calorific drinks like beer, wine, and sweet mixers.
Instead, sip on gin or vodka slimline tonics. That way you’ll have a great time without all the extra calories.
